Job summary

Form Energy, based in Weirton, WV, seeks an experienced Director of Operations Finance to partner with manufacturing and supply chain leadership. You will drive cost, working capital, and CapEx decisions, reporting to the CFO and supporting the COO to scale from technology to mass production.

You will lead budgeting, cost accounting, and asset management while building a high-performing operations finance team in a fast-growing, mission-driven company. Relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related business discipline.
• 10–15+ years of progressive finance experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of cost accounting, inventory valuation, CapEx management, and budgeting/forecasting.
• Proven track record building and scaling finance teams and influencing senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary financial advisor to COO and operations executives, translating operations into financial strategies.
• Guide strategic decisions with financial modeling, business cases, and operational insights.
• Own annual budgeting, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning for all plants and operations.
• Develop ROI analyses for multi-million-dollar manufacturing expansions and CapEx initiatives.
• Oversee cost accounting, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Maintain financial oversight of fixed assets and inventory management; drive cost reductions.
• Ensure accurate close, internal controls, and SOX 404 compliance.
• Recruit and mentor a world-class operations finance team.
• Foster collaboration between plant finance and corporate FP&A.
