Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. seeks a strategic Director of Manufacturing Operations to lead the Brooklyn Park, MN site. This senior role provides end-to-end accountability for safety, quality, velocity, cost, people development, and operations across warehousing, maintenance, and production.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in large-scale manufacturing or production facilities.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across production, maintenance, engineering, quality, supply chain, logistics, and warehousing.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of plant operations including manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, quality, supply chain, warehousing, and distribution.
• Establish and sustain a world-class safety culture with regulatory compliance.
• Drive performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory, and productivity metrics.
• Lead Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, efficiency, quality, asset utilization and business performance.
• Oversee production planning and execution to meet customer demand and delivery commitments.
• Develop and continuously improve manufacturing processes, operating systems, and plant infrastructure.
• Partner with engineering, quality, supply chain, and business leaders to support new product introductions and growth.
• Build and develop high-performing teams through talent acquisition, coaching, and succession planning.
• Use data and root-cause analysis to drive corrective actions and improvements.
• Drive accountability through disciplined execution and strategic initiatives.
