Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Brooklyn Park, MN seeks a Director of Manufacturing Operations to own end-to-end site performance, safety, quality, cost, and supply chain.

This senior role drives Lean initiatives, talent development, and cross-functional alignment with engineering and product leadership, while ensuring world-class operations and customer satisfaction. The position requires a Bachelor's in Engineering or related field and extensive manufacturing leadership, onsite five days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or related field.
• Proven leadership experience in large-scale manufacturing operations.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across production, maintenance, engineering, quality, supply chain, logistics, and warehousing.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant operations including manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, quality, supply chain, warehousing, and distribution.
• Establish and sustain world-class safety culture and regulatory compliance.
• Drive performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory and productivity metrics.
• Lead Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, efficiency, quality and asset utilization.
• Oversee production planning and execution to meet customer demand and delivery commitments.
• Develop and continuously improve manufacturing processes, operating systems, and plant infrastructure.
• Partner with engineering, quality, supply chain and business leaders to support new product introductions and growth.
• Build high-performing teams through talent acquisition, coaching, performance management and succession planning.
• Use data and root-cause analysis to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Drive accountability through disciplined execution and strategic initiatives.
