Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and training in fundraising.
  • At least 4 years' experience in donor relations or fundraising.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, interpersonal and writing skills.
  • Strong initiative and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and evaluate a comprehensive marketing program for major and planned gifts.
  • Manage open estate and trust accounts with attorneys and officers.
  • Oversee annual stewardship reports to endowment donors.
  • Lead Major Gift Development Committee in donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
  • Maintain relationships with 50-75 major donors/prospects; contact 10-15 monthly.
  • Participate in execution of major fundraising programs.
  • Advocate for endowment growth with the Business Manager/Treasurer.
  • Stay current on gift planning trends and tax-wise giving.
