Job summary

Sky Climber Renewables is seeking a Director – Major Component Exchange (MCE) to lead wind-turbine major component replacement projects across North America. Expect heavy involvement in planning, mobilization, crane coordination, and customer liaison to ensure safe, on-time, and within-budget execution.

The role requires extensive wind-energy experience, strong leadership, and a commitment to safety, quality, and customer success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience within the wind-energy industry.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience leading MCE, heavy-lift, construction, installation, or complex wind-turbine service projects.
• Demonstrated experience with major component replacement activities.
• Strong understanding of wind turbine mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience coordinating cranes, heavy lifts, rigging, tooling, and field personnel.
• Demonstrated project management experience including scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and customer communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, mobilization, execution, and closeout of MCE projects across the territory.
• Coordinate crane selection, mobilization, setup, and demobilization.
• Develop detailed project execution plans prior to mobilization.
• Ensure staffing aligns with schedules and needs.
• Maintain safety and quality by complying with EHS policies and procedures.
• Provide leadership to field teams and mentor personnel.
