Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal in the United States is seeking a Director to join the Global Transaction Advisory Group to lead buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence across industries in Houston and other markets. You will guide teams, manage client relationships, and deliver quality of earnings, cash flow and working capital analyses, with a focus on value drivers for sponsors and lenders.

The role reports to senior leadership, offering a base salary around $200,000 with a discretionary bonus

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of financial accounting due diligence experience at a top firm.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA or in the process of obtaining one.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting and purchase accounting.
• High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong project management skills and flexibility to work in teams.
• Thrive in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Counsel and mentor Associates, Senior Associates and Managers.
• Lead conversations with clients and lenders.
• Oversee deals with limited guidance from MDs.
• Manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity.
• Identify transaction risks and address them.
• Generate full due diligence reports.
• Lead analyses of Earnings, P&L and Working Capital.
