Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Director in Transaction Advisory/Financial Due Diligence in the United States. You will lead buy-side/sell-side financial due diligence, assess earnings quality, cash flow, working capital, and key drivers across multiple industries.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 8-10 years of financial accounting due diligence experience at a top accounting firm.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting and/or related major.
• CPA (or in the process of obtaining one).
• Working knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and purchase accounting.
• High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Flexibility to work as part of a team or as an individual contributor.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Counsel and mentor Associates, Senior Associates and Managers.
• Lead the team in conversations with clients and lenders.
• Prioritize team responsibilities and consult with MDs and senior staff.
• Oversee all aspects of deals with limited guidance from MDs.
• Manage multiple chargeable and non-chargeable projects of varying size.
• Identify potential transaction risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Generate full due diligence reports (FDD/ODD) and analyses.
• Lead QOE, P&L and Working Capital analyses and review.
• Communicate engagement status, billing and scope changes to clients.
• Develop solutions to engagement and transaction risks and drive issue resolution.
• Support engagement executives to maximize client value and engagement leverage.
• Proactively recruit and develop TAG professionals at all levels.
• Contribute to training initiatives and teaching courses as appropriate.
• Demonstrate understanding of TAG services and opportunities to cross-sell.
