Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Director in Transaction Advisory/Financial Due Diligence to lead buy-side and sell-side engagements. You will oversee QofE, P&L and cash-flow analyses, mentor teams, and drive high-impact insights for private equity and corporate clients across industries.

The role emphasizes risk management, client communication, and cross-selling TAG services, with a base salary around $200,000 and a discretionary bonus potential. Chicago-area location preferred.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of financial accounting due diligence experience at a top firm.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting and/or related major.
• CPA or CPA in process; strong GAAP knowledge (US).
• High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; excellent communication.
• Strong project management and ability to work in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Associates, Senior Associates and Managers.
• Oversee deal workstreams with limited guidance from MDs.
• Identify transaction risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Generate comprehensive due diligence reports and QofE analyses.
• Engage clients and lenders; manage day-to-day engagement issues.
• Develop opportunities, cross-sell TAG services, and support BD efforts.
