Job summary

Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. seeks a Director, Event Production for the Chicago Theatre.

You will manage end-to-end event execution, from advancement to load-out, coordinating staging, lighting, sound, seating and staffing with venue departments. You will generate and monitor budgets, supervise both union and non-union crews, and ensure safety and policy compliance in a fast-paced 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years in live event, concert, theatre, or touring production.
• Experience supervising and directing staff across multiple operating functions.
• Knowledge of union and non-union labor workflows (I.A.T.S.E, I.B.E.W, Teamsters).

Responsibilities

• Oversee event planning from advancement to load-out for assigned events.
• Coordinate staging, lighting, sound, seating, and staffing requirements with venue departments.
• Develop and maintain event budgets with ongoing cost tracking and settlements.
• Support Chicago administrative/management teams and promote best practices.
• Ensure compliance with work rules for union/non-union labor and safety standards.
• Direct union/non-union labor scheduling and on-site operations during events.
• Handle on-site emergencies, ingress/egress, and show run of show.
• Evaluate client/guest experience and liaise with venue AGM for show excellence.
