Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. seeks a Manager, Lighting Systems to lead the daily operation, maintenance, and project work for arena lighting and related spaces.

You will coordinate with show designers, production teams, and event staff to execute lighting cues, maintain documentation, and ensure safety protocols are followed. You will oversee control platforms, manage vendor relationships, and guide a team of lighting staff through a demanding event calendar, including

• 5+ years of progressive experience in entertainment lighting, venue technology, live event production, or a related field.
• 60+ credit hours of college coursework preferred.
• Hands-on experience operating, programming, and maintaining networked lighting control systems (theatrical and architectural).
• Working knowledge of DMX, sACN, and Art-Net, lighting network design, and troubleshooting.
• Experience maintaining automated and conventional fixtures, LED fixtures, followspots, dimming and power distribution.
• Experience coordinating with designers, event presentation, and production teams to execute show designs on tight timelines.
• Familiarity with a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and unionized environments.
• Proficiency with Windows/PC, Microsoft Office applications; AutoCAD/Vectorworks preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Manage day-to-day operation, preventative maintenance, and repair of all lighting systems in the Arena and ancillary spaces.
• Oversee operation, programming, maintenance, and repair of house lighting systems (control systems, fixtures, dimming, data distribution).
• Own lighting control platforms: console configuration, show file management, archiving, and backups.
• Support integration of show design and programming from Event Presentation, production, and visiting designers.
• Prioritize event needs and maximize labor productivity across 180+ annual events; interface with multiple teams.
• Program and maintain house looks, presets, and cues for Knicks/Rangers games, concerts, and events.
• Manage lighting projects from scope through closeout: requirements, vendors, installation, commissioning, as-built docs.
• Maintain accurate system documentation and procedures.
• Coordinate rigging, lifts, and safety protocols for accessing overhead fixtures and truss positions.
• Direct in-house and contracted lighting labor and coordinate call requirements under the applicable CBA.
• Assist in budgeting for lighting maintenance, spares, consumables, and event costs.
• Identify and assist with Tech Ops capital projects for lighting fixtures, control, and infrastructure.
• Supervise Technical Operations lighting staff and indirectly supervise electricians and labors.
