Job summary

Crowley Maritime Corporation seeks a Director of Fleet Strategy and Planning to lead fleet and capacity planning for scheduled liner services. You will ensure vessel deployment, service strings, sailing frequency, and port rotations align with demand, commitments, and financial goals.

Collaborating with Liner Operations, Network and Capacity Management, Commercial, Finance, and Executive Leadership, you will drive data-driven decisions to improve schedules, asset utilization, and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Experience managing liner fleet planning, capacity management, or related transport disciplines.
• Leadership experience across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain short- and long-term fleet plans aligned with liner network strategy, trade-lane demand, service commitments, and commercial growth priorities.
• Translate service requirements, sailing frequencies, transit-time expectations, and port rotations into vessel and capacity requirements.
• Evaluate owned, chartered, and alternative capacity strategies to support reliable and competitive liner services.
• Balance schedule integrity, asset utilization, and financial performance in fleet planning recommendations.
• Assess future fleet requirements and recommend fleet expansion, replacement, redeployment, or chartering actions.
