Job summary

Horace Mann is seeking a strategic Director, Life & Retirement Analytical Engineering to lead the evolution of our analytical capabilities and transform how data informs business decisions.

You will own the strategy, delivery, and continuous improvement of data products, partner with Analytics, Enterprise Data, Architecture, Security, and Technology teams, and drive scalable, trusted data solutions across Life & Retirement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a quantitative field.
8+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, BI, or related areas.
3+ years leading technical teams or delivery portfolios.
Experience building reusable analytical data products and scalable cloud data solutions.
Strong governance, security, and enterprise data principles.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic direction for Life & Retirement analytics engineering.
Translate priorities into roadmaps for governed data products.
Establish scalable practices for data quality, reliability, and speed to insight.
Oversee enterprise data warehouse development with cross-functional teams.
Lead and develop a high-performing analytical engineering team.
