Job summary

Asian Law Caucus in San Francisco is seeking a senior leader to oversee the systems, processes, and organization-wide legal staff support across litigation, direct client representation, and other legal advocacy. Reporting to the Legal Director, this newly created role will build the Legal Services team, manage intake, case tracking, and reporting, and align with organizational priorities.

Qualifications

• J.D. and active California State Bar membership.
• Minimum eight years in direct legal services, litigation, or legal administration.
• Strong knowledge of case management systems and legal workflows.
• Experience supervising staff and building collaborative teams.
• Experience with case management tools (Clio, Sharepoint, Microsoft, Google Suite, WestLaw, PACER).
• Demonstrated commitment to immigrant justice, racial justice, and public interest law.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of direct legal services including intake, case management, and client communication.
• Ensure compliance with professional responsibilities, funder requirements, and organizational policies.
• Support attorneys with caseload management and quality control; monitor metrics and outcomes.
• Lead development of internal legal operations, workflows, intake, matter opening/closing, and reporting.
• Manage pro bono and volunteer programs; recruit, train, supervise, and recognize volunteers.
• Supervise and develop Legal Support staff; manage budgets and resources; align with organizational priorities.
