Job summary

New Mexico State University’s Information Technology department seeks a Director of the Enterprise Project Management Office to oversee IT project portfolios, ensuring on-time, in-scope, and on-budget delivery.

Reporting to the CIO, the role leads project governance, risk management, resource planning, and agile practices while developing staff and coordinating with stakeholders to align business strategy with technology initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree plus 10 years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree plus 8 years.
• Master's degree or higher preferred.
• ITIL and PMI certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT project management activities to deliver projects on time, within scope, and budget.
• Develop effective risk mitigation plans and monitor at the project level.
• Interpret resource needs and adjust to ensure business outcomes.
• Partner with portfolio stakeholders to align strategy, capacity, and agile practices.
• Develop and maintain project management procedures and dashboards for the CIO.
