Job summary

• Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives and establishing project governance or portfolio management practices.
• Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to influence across teams and translate complex information into actionable decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex or at-risk projects with added structure and leadership.
• Facilitate cross-functional teams and steering committees through planning to implementation.
• Develop project charters, scopes, schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications.
• Direct high-priority enterprise technology projects sponsored by the CIO.
• Maintain the OIT portfolio of strategic initiatives and major projects.
• Establish a consistent project intake, evaluation, prioritization, sequencing, and review process.
• Align technology work with institutional priorities and capacity.
• Develop an OIT roadmap with milestones, dependencies, and resource needs.
• Create portfolio dashboards and executive progress reports.
• Identify cross-team dependencies and barriers needing leadership action.
• Establish PM standards, tools, templates, and expectations.
• Coach sponsors and delivery teams in planning and execution.
• Facilitate portfolio reviews with clear decisions and follow-up.
• Build a service-oriented PMO and continuous improvement.
• Provide leadership through influence and governance; no direct reports.
