Job summary

Augusta University is seeking a Director of IT Portfolio and Project Management within the Division of Information Technology. The role oversees planning, governance, and delivery of IT projects and portfolios to align with the university's mission and priorities.

Leading a team of project managers and business analysts, you will drive portfolio optimization, reporting, risk management, and change leadership to deliver measurable value for academic, research, and administrative initiatives.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 10+ years of performance improvement and program/project management experience.
• Requires PMP or Prosci certification.
• Experience leading people (direct and indirect) and coaching/mentoring teams.

Responsibilities

• Establish and oversee standardized processes, methodologies, and governance for IT projects (PMO, Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
• Direct the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure within time, budget, and quality constraints.
• Monitor KPIs and report progress to stakeholders; ensure value delivery and outcomes.
