We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of IT Operations to lead and oversee multiple functional teams within our organization. This leadership position will oversee telecommunications, IT service management, disaster recovery, tier 2 application support, and operations of all third-party software. This high-impact role is responsible for driving our modernization strategy while ensuring the seamless operation and support of our IT infrastructure.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to multiple IT functional teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives

  • Develop and implement IT operational strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define and drive the IT modernization roadmap, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement

  • Mentor and develop IT leaders, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth

  • Oversee the telecommunications team responsible for contact center operations, workforce management, recording, quality monitoring, fax, IVR, and telehealth software

  • Lead the tier 2 application support team, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and high levels of customer satisfaction

  • Implement best practices for application support, including incident management, problem management, and root cause analysis

  • Oversee the team handling the operations of all third-party software

  • Manage IT service management functions, including change, problem, incident, and availability management

  • Develop and maintain service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve IT service delivery

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for IT service management

  • Develop and implement comprehensive disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of IT disruptions

Required Qualifications:



  • 7+ years of experience in IT operations

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role managing multiple functional IT teams.

  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, telecommunications, application support, and IT service management.

  • United States citizenship is required for this position.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a suitability or determination of eligibility for a Confidential/Secret or Top Secret security clearance.



Preferred Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 1+ year of experience in Mitel, Nice CXOne, or AWS Connect

The salary range for this role is $124,500 to $239,400 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
