The Senior Data Platform Engineer is a senior technical leader responsible for the performance, stability, and scalability of our AWS-based data processing platform. You will collaborate with business and technology teams to design, develop, and oversee enterprise data solutions supporting analytics and data science use cases, ensuring data is accessible, well-governed, secure, and aligned with our Data & AI strategies.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years experience in data solution design and information intelligence
• Strong healthcare domain expertise (administrative and clinical data)
• 5+ years experience with data engineering technologies (e.g., Spark, PySpark, Scala, SQL)
• Hands-on experience with data lakes, data warehouses, data modeling, and scalable data pipelines
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields; Master’s preferred

Key Skills:

• Expertise in AWS data technologies (MWAA, Redshift, S3, EMR, Glue, QuickSight, Aurora)
• Experience in enterprise data architecture supporting BI, AI, ML, and data products
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and quality principles
• Strong analytical and communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders

Responsibilities:

• Lead as a senior engineer ensuring platform performance and scalability
• Develop and implement data strategies in collaboration with stakeholders
• Translate business needs into data pipeline requirements
• Guide ETL engineers on data model optimization and data integration
• Design data solutions for BI and ML applications
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture to set standards and guidelines
• Support data governance, stewardship, and metadata management
• Work with data science teams to maintain data quality standards
