Job summary

SDL Search Partners seeks a Director of Business Systems to lead the Investor Relations Technology team, delivering solutions across fundraising, LP servicing, and investor reporting. You’ll manage onshore analysts and offshore developers, collaborating with IR stakeholders, vendors, and QA to implement CRM, data analytics, and AI-enabled workflows for global fundraising operations.

Qualifications

> Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
> 10+ years of business/systems analysis experience in buy-side/asset management or alt-investments with IR/fundraising exposure.
> Direct experience supporting Investor Relations or fundraising functions in PE/credit/asset management.
> Experience with evaluating, implementing, and supporting investor lifecycle solutions.
> Experience with CRM, DDQ, email marketing, Investor Onboarding, Ticketing, LP Portal, and reporting/analytics is preferred.
> Deep understanding of end-to-end fundraising and LP lifecycle across funds, strategies, geographies.
> Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver tech solutions to business needs.
> Excellent communication for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
> Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
> Experience leading mixed onshore/offshore teams.

Responsibilities

> Lead requirements gathering, documentation, and testing for global fundraising and IR needs.
> Translate complex business requirements into actionable technical specs.
> Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance system functionality.
> Oversee applications supporting IR: Salesforce, data lake analytics, deal CRM, fund closing and LP reporting workflows.
> Partner with fundraising, client relations, legal, and finance to align tech solutions with goals.
> Compile release notes, roadmaps, and updates for stakeholders.
> Lead onshore/offshore team, manage vendors and third-party providers.
> Ensure vendor solutions align with standards and business needs.
> Own software release cycles and budget planning; negotiate vendor contracts.
> Be SME on investor relations, fundraising, and LP servicing processes.
> Lead development of new integrations (Salesforce-to-fund-accounting) and upgrades.
