Job summary

Medline seeks a Director of Accounting - Inventory & Fixed Assets to lead the U.S. teams responsible for inventory, product costing, and fixed assets. This senior role ensures accurate financial reporting under U.S. GAAP and robust internal controls across global operations.

You will oversee close processes, partner with multiple functions, and drive process improvements while supporting audits and strategic initiatives. A CPA and 8+ years in relevant accounting are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• CPA required.
• 8+ years of accounting experience focused on U.S. GAAP accounting, reporting, and analysis including inventory, product costing, and fixed assets.
• At least 4 years of direct people-management experience.
• Experience in a large multinational company with complex operations.
• Extensive internal controls and SOX experience.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Inventory, Product Costing, and Fixed Assets accounting teams in the U.S.
• Own the related close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, reserves, depreciation, and asset retirements.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SOX; maintain strong internal controls.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and other stakeholders.
• Lead process improvements, system implementations, integrations, and policy development.
• Support external and internal audits and coordinate with auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
