Job summary

South Jersey Industries is seeking a Manager of Internal Communications & Employee Engagement in New Jersey to lead employee and leadership communications, engagement initiatives, and change-management efforts. You will oversee town halls, leadership meetings, and employee programs while guiding a high-performing team to align messaging with company priorities.

The role requires strong writing, project management, and stakeholder skills, with 8–10 years in related fields and 2–4 years of people

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Human Resources, Business, or related field with 9+ years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• 8–10 years of progressive internal communications, employee engagement, or organizational communications experience.
• 2–4 years of people leadership experience, including coaching and performance management.
• Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal communications plans aligned with company objectives and priorities.
• Draft executive communications, leadership messages, talking points and presentations.
• Plan and execute town halls, employee forums, and leadership meetings.
• Manage employee survey communications and action planning initiatives.
• Communicate organizational changes effectively to employees.
• Lead and develop a team of communications professionals.
