MERGE is a marketing and technology agency at the intersection of health and wellness, known for its human-first approach. As Director, Communications, you will own internal and corporate communications end to end, guiding strategy, cadence, and channel governance.

You will lead change communications, coach executives, and partner across units to craft clear, human messaging using AI without sacrificing the human voice.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in internal, corporate, or change communications.
• Expertise in corporate comms and change management including M&A and migrations.
• Hands-on experience managing intranet, email, newsletters, and collaboration platforms.
• Fluency with change-management frameworks and process for goals and timelines.
• Superior writing and editing—translating complex info into clear messaging.
• Strong executive presence and ability to coach senior leaders.
• Data-informed approach to measuring communication effectiveness.
• Curiosity about AI reshaping communications.

Responsibilities

• Own the internal communications strategy: develop and run a strategy aligned with MERGE’s goals and values; keep employees informed and engaged.
• Build the cadence: own the rhythm of internal communication—updates, all-hands, town halls, announcements.
• Govern the channels: manage intranet, email, newsletters, and collaboration platforms with a consistent voice across channels.
• Lead corporate & change communications: steward major initiatives with clear messaging for employees and stakeholders.
• Make change land: apply change-management frameworks to readiness, messaging sequence, and user support during transitions.
• Equip the leaders: coach executives on messaging with toolkits, templates, and FAQs.
• Manage sensitive moments: handle confidential announcements with discretion and timeliness.
• Partner cross-functionally: align messaging across business units and ensure employees hear it first.
• Produce content & measure impact: write executive messaging, emails, intranet updates, newsletters; monitor performance and impact.
• Grow the function: set goals and mentor team members; model craft and care.
• Be a trusted partner: advise leaders on messaging.
