Job summary

Anthropic seeks a Director, Infrastructure Supply Chain Accounting to lead accounting for compute-stack components and a growing fixed asset portfolio. You will drive end-to-end accounting, capitalizations, and cost controls across data centers, partnering with Real Estate, Legal, and Finance to ensure accurate reporting.

You will mentor a team of accounting professionals, optimize data pipelines, and engage with external auditors to scale the function as Anthropic expands its infrastructure

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience in tech, manufacturing, or infrastructure-heavy firms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 360 for capitalization, depreciation, impairment, and disposals; cost accounting concepts in a supply chain context.
• Experience managing a large fixed asset or inventory portfolio in high-growth environments.
• Demonstrated analytical abilities with large datasets.
• Track record of scaling and improving financial processes in fast-paced settings.
• Experience leading and developing accounting teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end accounting for components in the compute stack, including cost accumulation, reserves, monthly close, reconciliations, and asset status transitions.
• Apply ASC 360 principles (capitalization, useful lives, impairment, disposals) and BOM-based costing.
• Collaborate with Real Estate, Legal, and Finance during contract negotiations to assess accounting implications.
• Act as a finance partner to non-finance stakeholders, translating financial impacts into actionable guidance.
• Improve upstream data pipelines and component tracking from PO to deployment, including serial-number tracking.
• Design scalable systems, processes, and controls for a rapidly growing fixed asset portfolio.
• Lead and mentor accounting professionals; liaison with external auditors on fixed asset matters.
• Drive process improvements and automation, including AI tooling, for faster close.
