Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Senior Manager for Infrastructure Asset Accounting to own the lifecycle accounting of infrastructure assets, from components to data center deployments. You will work with Data Center Operations, Supply Chain, and Legal to ensure accurate capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking.

You will lead complex data analyses, build end-to-end cost flows, and mentor accounting staff while partnering with external auditors on capex matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required or equivalent.
• CPA or equivalent preferred.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of ASC 360 in infrastructure or data center assets.
• Experience with BOM-based costing, landed cost, and obsolescence analysis.
• Experience with fixed asset subledger and component inventory management at scale.
• Ability to design end-to-end transaction flows and subledger designs.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accounting for infrastructure assets through lifecycle.
• Build and maintain asset cost flows from PO to deployment and disposal.
• Evaluate supplier arrangements with clear technical memos.
• Apply ASC 360 capitalization, useful lives, impairment, and disposals.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Data Center Operations, Legal, and Finance during negotiations.
• Explain financial impacts to non-finance stakeholders clearly.
• Improve data pipelines, serial-number tracking, and existence controls.
• Design scalable processes and controls for growing asset portfolio.
• Mentor accounting professionals across the team.
• Coordinate with external auditors on supply chain and capex.
• Drive automation and AI tooling to enhance close accuracy.
