Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior infection prevention leader to oversee hospital-wide programs and ensure regulatory compliance. The role requires directing epidemiology activities, mentoring multidisciplinary teams, and coordinating with public health authorities to protect patients and staff.

Responsibilities include surveillance, reporting, and program development across critical care units, with a focus on data-driven quality improvement and cost-effective staffing.

Qualifications

• Master of Public Health or MBA; or bachelor's in healthcare with equivalent experience
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC)
• Five years of experience in infection prevention or disease surveillance in a public health setting
• Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate multidisciplinary teams
• Strong problem analysis, project management, conflict resolution, and oral and written presentations

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise infection prevention and control activities across critical care units
• Design, lead, and maintain the hospital-based infection prevention and control program
• Educate hospital personnel and consult with the organization, CDC, county, and state health departments
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA, and state regulations
• Investigate outbreaks and direct the infection prevention and control program
• Forecast budgetary and staffing needs, manage expenses, and address budget variances
