Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in nursing with five years nursing experience or related field; three years in infection prevention and control or epidemiology
• Master’s degree in nursing or healthcare field preferred
• MT (ASCP) certification as Medical Technologist is a plus

Responsibilities

• Applies standardized case finding methods to HAI definitions.
• Skilled at using NHSN to report HAIs and validate surveillance.
• Performs electronic surveillance and data mining for comprehensive reporting.
• Operates information management tools for emerging technology.
• Provides reports to leadership with graphic data displays.
• Leads process improvements based on surveillance outcomes.
