Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health-related field is required.
• Master's degree in Public Health is preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Nevada licensure/certification; CBIC within two years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, manage and evaluate the infection control program.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, Joint Commission standards, and infection control policies.
• Collect surveillance data, analyze and report infection rates.
• Collaborate with public health officials and hospital departments.
• Enforce infection control policies when hazards exist; no direct patient care.
