Job summary

United Way of Massachusetts Bay, Inc. is seeking a Director of Individual Giving to lead our annual giving program, focusing on donors up to $10,000 and multi-channel donor engagement.

You will manage a small team, partner across Development, External Affairs, and Operations, and drive strategies for donor acquisition and retention. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of fundraising experience, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years fundraising or transferable experience in non-profit or private sector.
• Proven ability to build relationships with donors resulting in leadership annual gifts.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to inform, inspire and connect prospects and donors to United Way's work.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic direction, planning, and execution of United Way's annual giving program with focus on donors up to $10,000.
• Develop integrated fundraising strategies increasing donor acquisition, retention, renewal, and upgrades across channels.
• Oversee stewardship and recognition programs to strengthen donor loyalty and lifetime value.
• Collaborate with Corporate Giving to maximize donor engagement through workplace campaigns.
• Lead engagement of volunteer fundraising committees and donor societies.
• Supervise and develop members of the Individual Giving team; foster collaboration across departments.
