Job summary

Expedia Group seeks a Director, Indirect Tax Operations & Controversy to lead the U.S. and international indirect tax compliance, data integrity, and controversy within a global travel technology company.

You will collaborate across Tax, Finance, Legal, Product, and Technology to design scalable processes, improve controls, and deploy tax technology that supports rapid business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Law, or related field.
• Typically 12–14+ years of indirect tax, tax operations, and tax technology experience.
• Extensive experience with U.S. state and local indirect taxes and international VAT/GST.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day indirect tax compliance across U.S. and international markets.
• Oversee controversy and audit processes for indirect tax matters.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Product, and Engineering to drive tax strategy and technology integrations.
• Shape tax technology strategy and drive automation initiatives.
