Child Development Schools is hiring for a Director-in-Training to grow into a School Director role. The program is a 3-month, hands-on experience with a one-week onsite boot camp in Clayton, NC, focusing on hiring, budgets, marketing, and curriculum know-how.

Successful completion offers a permanent leadership position. The role emphasizes team leadership, family engagement, and creating safe, engaging learning environments for children aged six weeks to twelve years.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in early childhood education or similar leadership role
• CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Certified or licensed as required by your state
• Strong communication with kids, families, and staff
• Multitasking with schedules, tasks, and surprises
• Flexible, hands-on, ready to jump in wherever needed

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment, training, and support staff while ensuring state compliance
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and substitutes
• Build warm connections with families and staff
• Host tours for new families and promote the program
• Assist with budgeting, marketing, and curriculum coordination
• Ensure the school is safe, clean, and ready for daily activities
• Assist with administrative tasks (billing, payroll, records) as needed
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative school culture

Requirements
