Job summary

Mirador Therapeutics, Inc. seeks a motivated Director of Immunology with a strong background in immunology and cell biology. You will lead target validation, develop cell-based assays, and guide early antibody discovery and IND-enabling studies with biomarker discovery.

You will build and mentor a high-performing immunology team, manage CROs, and collaborate across functions to align strategy with program milestones, delivering regulatory-ready therapeutic candidates.

Qualifications

• PhD in Immunology with 12+ years of experience in academia and biotech/pharma.
• Experience leading discovery and translational immunology in autoimmunity/inflammation.
• People management experience required.
• Experience leading projects and managing CROs/vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead immunology and cell biology strategy for target validation, mechanism of action, and biomarker discovery.
• Design, develop, and oversee cell-based assays using primary human immune cells and disease-relevant models.
• Direct immunology support for early-phase antibody discovery, including target engagement assays.
• Drive immunology and pharmacology work for IND-enabling studies and biomarker strategy.
• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing immunology team with hiring and performance management.
• Manage CROs and external collaborators supporting immunology assay development and biomarker studies.
• Partner cross-functionally to align immunology strategy with program timelines and milestones.
• Present data and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
