Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking an Executive Director, Experimental Medicine – Immunology to lead early clinical development and experimental medicine within the Immunology TA. You will shape clinical strategy and ensure scientific rigor in first-in-human programs, driving portfolio progression and high-quality clinical outcomes.

You will guide a multidisciplinary team, collaborate with Research, Regulatory, and Clinical Operations, and engage external leaders to advance proof-of-concept studies

Qualifications

• MD or MD/PhD in a relevant medical specialty/Therapeutic Area.
• Cell therapy experience.
• Solid understanding of disease biology, trial design, and translational medicine.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and execute strategic clinical plans.
• Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders and regulatory familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to development and execution of early clinical plans for the TA.
• Ensures timely delivery of Phase I–IIb studies with scientific integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Reviews and provides input on protocols, reports, and publications.
• Partners with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
