Job summary

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) is seeking a Director II for the Community-Based Care (CBC) Operations Division in Austin. This full-time role leads CMTP program transformation, aligning policy, budget, and performance with state goals and federal CCWIS requirements.

You will supervise staff, develop long- and short-term plans, coordinate with agencies and IT partners, and ensure CBC operations meet strategic objectives while enabling telework where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum five years DFPS program experience.
• Experience in CBC and CBC CMTP context.
• Two years as a DFPS supervisor or above.
• Experience with IMPACT CBC functionality.

Responsibilities

• Develop long-range and short-term plans for CBC CMTP programs.
• Oversee and facilitates collaboration among agencies and divisions to implement CMTP processes.
• Direct and manage CBC CMTP program forecasts and budget compliance.
• Lead policy development, guidelines, and change management for CBC operations.
• Represent CBC CMTP in strategic planning, governance, and stakeholder engagement.
