Job summary

Texans Together seeks a Sr. Manager, Permanency to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for permanency, conservatorship, reunification, kinship, foster care, and related services.

You will align with CBC requirements, state/federal regulations, and accreditation standards while working with DFPS, courts, and providers. The role supervises supervisors and teams, drives performance management, staff development, and continuous improvement to achieve strong permanency outcomes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in social work, human services or closely
• Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or management experience in child welfare, permanency, foster care, adoption, conservatorship, or related family services
• Minimum seven (7) years of progressively responsible child welfare experience

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for permanency and child welfare programs across service region
• Develop and evaluate program strategies to improve safety, placement stability, and permanency outcomes
• Ensure operations comply with contractual, licensing, regulatory, and organizational requirements
• Monitor performance data and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
• Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement strategies
• Support budgeting, resource allocation, and program growth efforts
• Direct, supervise, coach, and evaluate supervisory-level staff and teams
• Foster a culture of servant leadership, collaboration, and professional growth
• Support recruitment, retention, workforce development, and succession planning
• Ensure effective case practice and timely permanency planning with family engagement
• Lead complex cases and emergencies with sound judgment and professionalism
• Promote trauma-informed, culturally responsive practices across service delivery
• Collaborate with DFPS, providers, courts, and community partners to strengthen services
• Represent Texans Together in meetings and collaborative initiatives
• Oversee quality assurance, case reviews, and required program reporting
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting per requirements
