Job summary

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services in Austin is seeking a Management Analyst II to support the CPS Adoption Assistance and Permanency Care Assistance programs. The role provides policy guidance, training, and technical assistance to eligibility specialists and negotiator staff.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Three years of full-time consultative, supervisory, managerial, social service, professional or technical work which must include analysis of work problems with an administrative aspect and interpretation of federal and state child welfare-related laws.
• DFPS Eligibility determination experience may substitute education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a subject matter expert and provides technical assistance, training, written guidelines, and the interpretation and development of policies and procedures related to the Adoption Assistance and Permanency Care Assistance programs.
• Schedule and hold periodic conference calls with adoption assistance eligibility specialists and negotiator staff to provide policy guidance.
• Interpret and develop policies and procedures related to the Adoption Assistance and Permanency Care Assistance programs.
• Coordinate policy updates with the unit's policy alert specialist for timely handbook revisions.
• Develop positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to improve program operations.
