Job description

We are seeking a visionary and execution-focused Director of HR Technology & Analytics to lead our enterprise-wide deployment and long-term strategy for Workday, which will become the cornerstone of our HR technology ecosystem. The ideal candidate brings deep, hands-on experience leading Workday implementations across Core HR, Recruiting, Talent Management, Onboarding, Payroll, and Absence Management. This role will serve as the Workday program owner, accountable for system design, deployment, adoption, and optimization. In addition to Workday leadership, the Director will evaluate and rationalize our broader HR tech stack, guide system consolidation, and build a strategic roadmap that leverages data, automation, and AI to enhance employee experience and business performance. This is a high-impact opportunity to transform how we support 19,000 employees across North America through scalable, intelligent HR solutions.

This role will serve as the strategic and operational owner of our HR technology stack, working closely with HR leadership, IT, Finance and Business stakeholders, and external partners to ensure technology solutions align with organizational goals, scale effectively, and empower our employees and HR teams. The ideal candidate brings a blend of Workday expertise, HR transformation experience, data-driven decision making, and a forward-looking approach to HR tech innovation, including the use of AI and automation.

Workday Implementation, Ownership & Optimization

  • Lead Workday Implementation: Direct the end-to-end implementation and go-live of Workday, ensuring effective configuration and deployment of modules—including Core HR, Recruiting, Talent Management, Onboarding, Payroll, and Absence Management—to meet business requirements with minimal disruption.
  • Drive Post-Go-Live Stabilization: Establish a robust support and governance model, including change management, to ensure sustained adoption, user satisfaction, and long-term system performance.
  • Own the Workday Platform: Serve as the enterprise owner of Workday, accountable for its roadmap, configuration, optimization, integrations, release management, and continuous enhancement. Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues, improve usability, and drive platform value.

HR Tech Ecosystem Strategy (leveraging Innovation & AI)

  • Evaluate legacy platforms (e.g., Applicant Tracking & LMS (Cornerstone), Candidate CRM (Yello), Market Insights (Talent Neuron), Mentorship (Mentorcliq), Exit Interview, employee engagement tools) to determine fit, overlap, and timeline for consolidation or sunset in alignment with Workday expansion.
  • Optimize the overall HR tech stack with a focus on scalability and ROI.
  • Identify and integrate AI, machine learning, and automation opportunities into the HR technology roadmap.
  • Explore applications like Gen AI for talent intelligence, personalization, and efficiency.

HR Data, Reporting & Analytics

  • Lead strategy and execution for workforce analytics, dashboards, and reporting aligned with business priorities.
  • Promote data-driven decision making through centralized metrics and self-service tools.
  • Continued support of PeopleSoft through Workday implementation, data transfer, and ongoing historical data maintenance
  • Lead and develop a team of HR tech and analytics professionals.
  • Manage vendor partnerships (Workday, third-party tools), ensuring delivery excellence and innovation alignment.
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in HR technology, including a minimum of 5 years of hands-on Workday experience. Proven track record of managing Workday in large, complex environments, with a strong preference for candidates who have led at least one full-cycle Workday implementation.
  • Deep expertise in Workday HCM suite, particularly in Core HR, Talent, Recruiting, Payroll, Onboarding, and Absence modules.
  • Proven track record managing full lifecycle Workday deployments and post-go-live stabilization efforts.
  • Experience in large-scale change management, process optimization, and HR digital transformation.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, reporting, and HR analytics.
  • Demonstrated success in developing HR technology roadmaps, innovation strategies, and AI/automation initiatives.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial company highly preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Workday Pro)
