The Mellon Foundation is seeking a Director, HR Business Partner to advance strategic human resources in a growing, mission-driven organization. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, shaping workforce planning, organizational design, and talent management in support of program priorities.

Reporting to the CHRO, you will lead a team of HR professionals, translate HR strategies into day-to-day experience, and drive change initiatives with data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience with senior leaders in complex, evolving organizations.
• Strategic advisor with influence on organizational and talent decisions.
• Deep expertise in organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, organizational design, talent management, and change leadership.
• Strong business acumen linking people strategies to priorities and outcomes.
• Experience leading through growth, transformation, and adoption of new structures, processes, and systems.
• Experience leveraging workforce analytics to inform decisions and influence leaders.
• Executive presence with consulting, relationship-building, and influencing skills.

Responsabilités

• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on workforce, talent, organizational, and leadership matters.
• Align people strategies with Foundation priorities and departmental objectives.
• Guide leaders through organizational design, team effectiveness, workforce planning, and change initiatives.
• Facilitate regular workforce planning and organizational reviews to strengthen capacity and objectives.
• Use workforce data and insights to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and inform decisions.
• Coach and advise leaders on leadership effectiveness, team performance, engagement, and health.
• Partner to advance talent reviews, succession planning, leadership development, and performance management.
• Translate HR strategies into effective day-to-day implementation and employee experience.
• Champion initiatives that enhance employee experience and reinforce the Foundation's culture and values.
• Lead organizational transformation, assess readiness, drive change adoption, and sustain engagement.
