Job summary

Heritage Grocers Group is seeking a Director of Human Resources - WEST to lead HR strategy across multiple locations, partnering with senior leaders to drive workforce planning and talent initiatives. This role oversees HR programs, compliance, and employee relations to support business priorities.

You will guide labor relations, investigations, and change management, mentor HR teams, and travel to sites as required to ensure consistent, compliant practices across our operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree as required for the role.
• Eight+ years of progressive HR experience with leadership.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders and translating strategy into workforce plans.
• Multi-state employee and labor relations experience in a complex environment.
• Experience supporting unionized retail operations and labor relations.
• Knowledge of employment laws, investigations, and risk mitigation.
• Ability to lead organizational change and communicate with executives.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/ATS platforms.
• Bilingual fluent in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to the HRBP team and senior HRBP teams across locations.
• Translate business priorities into integrated people strategies and workforce plans.
• Lead, coach, and develop HR leaders and teams; establish performance expectations and succession plans.
• Advise executives on organizational design, talent decisions, and workforce risks.
• Oversee talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership development across districts and locations.
• Direct complex employee and labor relations matters, including investigations.
