Position Overview

Yahoo is a fast-moving and rapidly evolving business, seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to develop and implement global talent strategy initiatives aimed at increasing leadership capacity and enhancing the team's technical velocity across the organization.

This role will support the Consumer Product organizations and report to the Sr Dir, HRBP, Consumer Products. As a Director, HR Business Partner, you will contribute to the development, delivery, and measurement of impactful talent and organizational transformation strategies in collaboration with other HRBPs, People Team Centers of Excellence leaders, and key stakeholders.

You will provide strategic HR guidance to leaders and teams, participate in local office engagement efforts, and contribute to HR transformation initiatives foundational to Yahoo's future.

This is a hybrid role with collaboration opportunities in our Mountain View and San Francisco offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic HR Partnering & Talent Strategy Development:
  • Partner with leaders to determine success metrics for talent acquisition and rewards programs.
  • Develop recommendations to drive adoption of talent management programs using data insights.
  • Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement and development aligned with Yahoo's mission.
  • Provide strategic guidance on talent issues and organizational engagement.
  • Utilize data to anticipate business needs and facilitate talent management discussions.
  1. Transformation and Change Management Leadership:
  • Navigate ambiguity independently, taking ownership of next steps with sound judgment.
  • Lead HR process and philosophy transformations, promoting innovation.
  • Coach leaders through change initiatives for successful adoption.
  • Participate in leadership communication and rollout plans.
  1. Relationship Building:
  • Build strong relationships across the organization to understand the company holistically.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support organizational goals.
  • Foster community building aligned with our One HR mindset.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, focusing on strategic partnering, performance management, and change.
  • Experience supporting engineering teams is preferred.
  • Proven ability to handle high-volume employee transactions with sound judgment.
  • Self-motivated, delivering quality work with impact.
  • Experience managing office operations and cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for learning emerging technologies to drive innovation.
  • Excellent communication, presentation skills, and business acumen.
  • Ability to build relationships and foster collaboration.
  • Leadership by example, with a focus on organizational impact.

The salary range for this position is $110,625.00 - $230,625.00 per year, depending on location, skills, and experience. Benefits include healthcare, 401k, education stipends, and more.
