Job summary

CHAOS Industries seeks a Director of Electrical Engineering to build and lead an organization responsible for power, analog, mixed‑signal, and digital electronics across RF sensors and avionics systems. You will steer mission‑critical hardware from concept to production and sustainment.

The ideal candidate blends deep technical expertise with leadership to recruit, set standards, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery of rigorous hardware across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 15+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a growing team of electrical engineers across power, analog, mixed‑signal, and digital disciplines.
• Define hiring plan, capabilities, standards, and design review practices.
• Plan staffing, priorities, schedules, and resource allocation across programs.
• Lead development of electronic system architectures to meet performance, SWaP‑C, manufacturability, reliability and qualification requirements.
• Provide technical leadership across high‑speed digital, analog, mixed‑signal, power electronics, PCB design, signal integrity, EMI/EMC.
• Resolve cross‑disciplinary issues involving hardware, FPGA/embedded software interfaces, RF, thermal, packaging, manufacturing, and test.
• Lead hardware integration, verification, qualification, and transition to production.
• Engage with program leadership, customers, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.
