CHAOS Industries located in El Segundo, CA seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer to serve as the technical authority for combined power and analog board design in aerospace and military programs. You will guide architecture, requirements shaping, detailed design, verification, production support, and field sustainment across the full product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 15+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience leading power and analog electronics for aerospace/defense systems.
• Expert in DC/DC conversion, regulation, protection, sequencing, filtering, and thermal management.
• Expert in low-noise analog design, grounding, shielding, data converters, and sensor interfaces.
• EMI/EMC mitigation and layout for mixed power, analog, digital, and RF boards.
• Proven cross-disciplinary leadership and ability to guide teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical authority for power electronics and analog board design across programs.
• Lead architecture trades and define design approaches for power distribution and DC/DC conversion.
• Schematic design and simulation for power electronics and analog circuits.
• Lead resolution of complex cross-disciplinary technical issues.
• Guide PCB layout strategy for low-noise analog design and high-current paths.
• Lead design margin evaluation, derating, and thermal analysis.
• Serve as authority for hardware integration, verification, qualification, production transition, and field support.
