Job summary

CHAOS Industries is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to lead the design and integration of high‑reliability digital electronics for aerospace and military applications. The role spans the lifecycle from requirements to field testing, coordinating FPGA, software, RF, power, mechanical, manufacturing, and test teams with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate has hands-on board design experience, strong signal integrity and power integrity judgment, and a track record delivering

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years in electrical engineering with high-speed digital hardware.
• Strong understanding of timing, impedance, SI/PI, grounding, decoupling and return-path management.
• Ability to coordinate across FPGA, software, RF, power, mechanical, manufacturing and test teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of high-speed digital circuit cards and subsystems per aerospace/military standards.
• Design PCBs with FPGAs, processors, memory devices, data converters, clocks and high-speed interfaces.
• Perform signal integrity and power integrity analyses for high-speed interfaces and power nets.
• Define PCB layout constraints including controlled impedance and length matching.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clean integration of digital hardware.
• Plan board bring-up, integration, testing, qualification and production transition.
• Maintain schematics, analysis reports, BOMs, interface docs and test plans.
• Serve as technical interface with vendors and customers on digital hardware topics.
