Job summary

CHAOS Industries is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead power electronics and analog board design for high‑reliability aerospace and defense systems. You will shape architecture, guide verification, and mentor teams across programs.

On-site in El Segundo, CA, you will own design direction, perform pruning of complex issues, ensure EMI/EMC compliance, and drive production readiness from concept to field support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 15+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Expert understanding of power electronics fundamentals (DC/DC, regulation, protection).
• Advanced knowledge of analog circuit fundamentals and low-noise design.
• Experience leading verification, qualification, and field support for high-reliability hardware.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical authority for power electronics and analog board design across multiple programs.
• Lead architecture trades and define design approaches for power distribution and DC/DC conversion.
• Schematic design and simulation for power electronics and analog circuits.
• Lead resolution of cross-disciplinary technical issues involving power, EMI/EMC, and system integration.
• Guide PCB layout strategy for low-noise analog design and high-current paths.
• Lead design margin evaluation, derating, thermal assessment, and failure analysis for mission-critical hardware.
• Serve as technical authority for hardware integration, verification, and field support.
