Job summary

State of Minnesota’s Administration Dept is seeking a Director of Oversight and Accountability to lead grants management, ensure legal and policy compliance, and oversee approximately $1-2 billion annually in grant investments. You will drive grants compliance, audits, and policy training for state agencies, boards, and commissions.

The role emphasizes leadership, strategic planning, and collaboration with OGM priorities, with up to 50% hybrid telework and required in-person meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience in grants management or government grant compliance and risk management.
• Two years of compliance-related work, such as government grant compliance, compliance training, audits.
• Knowledge of government-based grant-making processes from pre-award through close-out.
• Ability to identify legal and compliance issues.

Responsibilities

• Review and determine approval/non-approval of state entities' grants agreements and other documents for compliance.
• Conduct grants compliance reviews and audits of state grant-making agencies, boards, and commissions.
• Identify best practices in grants compliance and serve as grants expert.
• Provide training and outreach to increase understanding of OGM policies and grants management.
