Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South is seeking a Director of Grants & Foundation Relations to lead foundation fundraising, manage the Annual Grants Plan, and steward partnerships that support programs across southeastern Massachusetts.

The role partners with program, finance, and advancement teams to craft compelling requests, reports, and donor communications while representing the organization at community events and funder engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with at least 4 years of related professional experience.
• Nonprofit development or advancement experience preferred; knowledge of fundraising trends.
• Graphic design basics; Canva or similar content creation tool.
• Strong budgeting, analytics, and data reporting skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with donor CRM databases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; public speaking.
• Ability to relate to diverse groups and build relationships.
• Professionalism, ethics, dependability, and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of foundation funding requests; align priorities with strategy.
• Primary author of non-government grant requests; support VP & Chief Advancement Officer as needed.
• Support government grants writing and reporting.
• Manage Annual Grants Plan using Raiser's Edge CRM; track proposals and deadlines.
• Develop cultivation and stewardship plans to increase engagement.
• Research prospective grant-makers and opportunities to meet financial goals.
• Track cultivation in the CRM; report progress to leadership.
• Oversee portfolio of foundation partners and relationships; engage stakeholders.
• Represent the organization at external events to support prospecting.
• Prepare interim and final reports for foundation partners and donors.
• Support donor communications and newsletters with Marketing & Communications.
