Role Description

The Development Operations & Grant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Boston, MA. This position oversees day-to-day development operations, including maintaining donor databases, tracking contributions, and supporting fundraising campaigns and events. The role is responsible for managing the full grant lifecycle, from prospect research and proposal development to submission, reporting, and compliance monitoring. The Development Operations & Grant Manager collaborates with program and finance teams to gather data, align grant narratives with organizational priorities, and ensure accurate budget and impact reporting. The individual in this role also supports the creation of development communications, maintains organized systems and documentation, and provides regular analysis and updates to leadership on fundraising performance and grant status.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong grant administration and proposal writing skills, including experience managing grant pipelines and developing compelling narratives.
• Candidates should possess analytical skills and program management capabilities to track outcomes, manage timelines, and align grant activities with program goals.
• Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with internal teams, funders, and partners.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with donor management or CRM systems, and strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate records and meeting deadlines.
• Experience in nonprofit development, fundraising operations, or a related field is beneficial, especially within youth, education, or community-based organizations.
• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (such as nonprofit management, communications, business, or public administration) or equivalent work experience is preferred.
