Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks a Director of Graduate Medical Education to lead residency and fellowship programs, ensuring accreditation readiness and strategic growth of GME across Mercy Health. The role reports to the Chief Academic Officer and collaborates with DIO/LPD, GMEC, and clinical partners.

The Director will supervise GME management, manage budgets, and drive educational quality, resident safety, and program performance while aligning with organizational priorities.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in Graduate Medical Education or academic medicine.
• Proven leadership of programs, operations, and staff.
• Experience with accredited GME programs and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for GME across the organization.
• Oversee GME operations, set performance expectations, and ensure accountability.
• Maintain compliance with ACGME and regulatory requirements.
• Lead accreditation activities and program evaluations with senior leaders.
