Job summary

Rohde & Schwarz in the United States seeks a Director of Government Contract Compliance to lead our compliance strategy for all US government programs. This senior role directs policy, enforcement, and enterprise-wide controls across FAR/DFARS and agency-specific regulations.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years of government contract compliance, strong cross-functional leadership, and proven audit success. This position requires US residency and readiness for security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in US government contract compliance with FAR/DFARS exposure.
• Proven track record leading compliance functions and audit outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own and direct overarching compliance strategy for all US government programs, ensuring FAR/DFARS alignment.
• Design, standardize, and enforce the EVMS Integrated Performance Management Framework across all segments.
• Lead development and enforcement of enterprise-wide compliance policies and procedures.
• Oversee readiness for internal/external audits (CPSR, DCAA) and manage documentation, controls, and risk mitigation.
• Serve as the escalation point for compliance issues and partner with senior leaders to resolve and prevent recurrence.
• Direct surveillance testing using DECM and data-driven analysis to uncover anomalies and breaches.
• Oversee drafting and closure of CAPs responding to CARs.
• Define baseline competency requirements for CAMs, schedulers, and finance analysts.

This senior leadership role sets policy direction, drives enterprise-wide enforcement, and serves as the organization's senior authority on government contract compliance and accounting matters. The ideal candidate brings deep regulatory expertise, strong cross-functional leadership skills, and a proven track record of audit success.

Your tasks

• Own and direct overarching compliance strategy for all US government programs, ensuring full alignment with FAR/DFARS and agency-specific regulations
• Design, standardize, and enforce the corporate EVMS Integrated Performance Management Framework across all business segments
• Lead the development, implementation, and enforcement of enterprise-wide compliance policies and procedures, keeping them current as regulations evolve
• Lead the development, implementation, and enforcement of compliance policies and procedures, keeping them current as regulations evolve for global related party entities
• Own organizational readiness for internal and external audits (CPSR, DCAA, etc.), overseeing documentation, controls, and risk mitigation
• Serve as the primary escalation point for compliance issues, partnering with senior cross-functional leaders to resolve them and prevent recurrence
• Direct continuous internal surveillance testing using DCMA EV Compliance Metrics (DECM) and data-driven analysis to proactively uncover data anomalies, baseline breaches, or calculation faults
• Oversee the drafting, deployment, and formal closure of corporate Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) responding to any external Corrective Action Requests (CARs)
• Define the baseline competency requirements and curriculum for Control Account Managers (CAMs), project schedulers, and finance analysts across the enterprise
• Build, mentor, and manage a team of compliance and accounting professionals
• Other duties as assigned

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
• 12+ years of progressive experience in US government contract compliance, with significant FAR/DFARS and federal audit exposure
• Demonstrated success leading compliance functions and managing audit outcomes at an organizational level
• Prior people-management experience
• Proven oversight experience with major cost and schedule integration tools such as Deltek Cobra, Primavera P6, Open Plan Professional, and Empower
• Strong executive presence and a track record advising senior leadership on compliance risk and strategy
• Ability to work cross functionally to accomplish organizational goals and compliance
• CPA, CGFM, or similar certification a plus
• In order to be considered, candidates must reside in the US, have US citizenship, and be able to obtain a US Government Public Trust Security Clearance

The total compensation for this position is $175K - 220K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
