Job summary

WEConnect International seeks a Director, Global Markets & Supplier Programs to lead global market engagement, regional execution, and programs for women-owned businesses. You will oversee Regional Directors, ensure high-quality services, readiness, and market access, and collaborate with certification, membership, and fundraising teams.

The role translates global strategy into consistent regional execution, driving value for women-owned businesses and corporate buyers worldwide.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in global program leadership or related fields.
  • Experience leading regional or geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong ability to design and manage programs, services, and tools for impact.
  • Proven track record working with corporate partners, funders, and NGOs.

Responsibilities

  • Global Market Strategy & Regional Leadership: develop and implement a consistent global market engagement framework.
  • Align regional strategies with WEConnect International's global priorities via Regional Directors.
  • Identify opportunities to expand market presence and increase engagement with women-owned businesses and member buyers.
  • Ensure regional activities meet goals, quality standards, brand expectations, and impact metrics.
  • Bring regional insights, opportunities, and risks to executive leadership.
  • Program Design to Grow and Support Women-Owned Business: design services from registration to market access.
  • Develop scalable offerings such as training, advisory services, mentoring, and market-access programming.
  • Ensure services reflect needs across markets, sectors, and growth stages.
  • Identify country-specific needs and opportunities for program adaptation with Regional Directors.
  • Support programs that help women-owned businesses compete for corporate and institutional contracts.
  • Regional Director Management & Team Execution: lead and manage Regional Directors, set expectations and metrics.
  • Conduct regular meetings to support coordination and performance; nurture a collaborative culture.
  • Support capacity building and knowledge sharing across regions.
  • Member Buyer Service Delivery: equip regional teams to support member buyers and supplier connections.
  • Work with Membership and Business Development to translate member needs into regional execution.
  • Certification Growth Support: partner with certification to grow registrations and certifications through outreach and readiness-building.
  • Identify market barriers and coordinate with certification to connect certification to market access.
  • Regional Fundraising, Partnerships & Donor-Funded Programs: lead fundraising efforts and donor engagement regionally.
  • Collaborate with Business Development to pursue funding opportunities and partnerships.
  • Marketing, Storytelling & Visibility: tell stories of women-owned business growth and regional impact.
  • Metrics, Learning, Budget & Performance Management: define KPIs and monitor regional performance.
  • Lead regional budget planning and report progress to executives.
  • Share lessons learned and best practices across regions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: coordinate with Marketing, Operations, and other teams to ensure delivery and impact.
