Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Director, IT Infrastructure to lead a high-performing global team and deliver scalable IT solutions for our growing engineering organization, based onsite in Long Beach, CA or Auckland, NZ.

You'll shape strategy for compute, storage, networks, OS, and DevOps, while ensuring security and regulatory compliance, vendor management, and 24x7 support across on-prem and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 12+ years' experience in IT infrastructure and security.
• Leadership in a globally diverse organization.
• Experience in high tech, engineering and/or manufacturing environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop IT infrastructure strategies to deliver scalable solutions.
• Lead global IT engineers and ensure security/compliance.
• Partner with Space Systems and Launch Operations teams to meet priorities.
• Oversee on-premises and cloud infrastructure with high uptime.
• Travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.
